about us 
LucyBelle Cakes is a small, family-run business. Elaine is the head
baker/decorator. She's loved baking (and eating!) since childhood, but it
wasn't until after college that she even considered a career in pastry.
After ditching grad school to take a job as a donut delivery girl, she
eventually had the privilege to work for a number of very fine pastry
chefs, mostly in southern California. In 2008, she moved back to the
family farm with her husband, Mark, and son, Nobel. In 2009 LucyBelle
cakes was born...and continues to grow, with the indispenable help of a
very devoted (and entirely unpaid!) staff of family.

1. Vanilla Butter Cake
Simple and delicious, with an old-fashioned butter cake flavor.
Alternating layers of vanilla butter cake and fluffy vanilla bean
buttercream.

2. Chocolate-Chocolate Cake
Simple, kid-friendly chocolate cake. Alternating layers of moist
chocolate cake and fluffy milk chocolate buttercream.

The ever-popular Red Velvet cake. Alternating layers of cake and sweet
cream cheese filling, covered in vanilla bean buttercream.

The bright, fresh flavor of lemon curd combines with pillowy meringue and
the slight crunch of poppyseeds to make for a gorgeous, delicious cake.

5. The Orange Rabbit
This is a classic carrot cake. Mildy spicy with a hint of orange. Filled
with sweet cream cheese filling and covered in vanilla bean, orange zest
buttercream.

6. The Chocolate Caramel Macchiato
This one's for the Starbuck's fans! Alternating layers of chocolate cake,
espresso ganache, and caramel macchiato buttercream.

7. German Chocolate
Our Favorite! Layers of chocolate cake ooze the classic coconut/pecan
"schmoo" that we love. Finished in light chocolate buttercream.

8. Blueberry White Chocolate Mousse Cake
This one's a nod to our family's U-Pick blueberry patch. Layers of vanilla
butter cake filled with white chocolate mousse and home-grown blueberry
filling.

9. Black Chocolate Truffle Cake
We mean business with this one, people. Rich chocolate cake made with
special 'black' cocoa is layered with 60% dark chocolate ganache that has
been spiked with Bourbon.

10. Black Walnut Cake
Inspired by 2 great ingredients found right here on the family farm: Wild
American Black Walnuts and fresh honey. Layers of Black Walnut Cake are
filled and covered with walnut buttercream and chunks of salty, homemade
honey-walnut nougat.
